Availability during the peak of the season does require planning about two weeks in advance. The staff at these locations are very courteous, especially Englewood. The boats are in good shape and dependable. We use the boats out of Englewood and Venice the most. We use the company owned locations and are very happy with the club. Based upon the reviews that I've seen, customer satisfaction varies a lot depending upon whether you use a company owned location (SWFL) or one of their franchised locations. My wife and I have been members of Freedom Boat Club since 2004. I looked ahead to the next Friday and 11 boats are still available to reserve. I was curious about no boats being available on Friday. Later if I decide not to use any one of my four reservations, it just takes one click to cancel and free it up for someone else who may already be on an automated wait list for that boat for that day. If I want to make a reservation it just takes one click and I instantly get an e-mail confirmation. As a FBC member I have access to the online reservation system where I can pull up and observe any range of dates for any of the corporate owned locations on the Gulf coats, maybe a dozen locations or so. I observed and recorded the data at about 5 PM today, Saturday, January 4. Living in Punta Gorda, and mostly using the FBC services here, I'd like to offer a brief review of the boats available next week, starting tomorrow, Sunday, January 5, here as well as the next FBC marina south on Pine Island, as well as the next FBC marina north in Englewood, just to randomly show a sample of available boats.
